The Christmas 10K Swim is WA’s premier 10km Rottnest qualifying swim – enjoyed by more than double the number of swimmers of any other 10km race in WA because of its unique approach of “swimmers first” and a focus on creating an event “by swimmers for swimmers“.

Our 10km swimmers are offered a long 3.4km circuit and this event is the only one in WA where swimmers can be accompanied by their own personal support paddlers for the full 10km of the race – the best possible preparation and practice for a Rottnest swim crossing!

But it is not just a 10km qualifier, the Christmas 10K Swim is also now firmly established as a fun and enjoyable community event which takes place at Coogee Beach on the Saturday before Christmas offering two shorter distances to challenge community swimmers of all abilities:
– Port Coogee Santa’s Lap (3.4km) 
– City of Cockburn Merry Mile (1600m)

We expect to reach capacity in all events as we have done in previous years, so save the date(s) and ensure you register early.

This year we have also have a contingency date on Sunday 21 December which will only be activated if the weather forecast is unfavourable and a decision is made that it is unsafe to go ahead with the event on Saturday 20 December.
