Whether you’re returning to swimming after a break or a regular enthusiast and need to know what to incorporate into your training, our program is tailored to prepare you for your summer goals. It’s designed to be inclusive and welcoming, catering intermediate swimmers, as well as novice triathletes.
In our 6 week program, you’ll refine your stroke technique and gain confidence to conquer the summer season on swimming within a supportive group setting.

Where: Bold Park Leisure Centre
Timings: 6pm – 7pm
Length: 6 weeks
Cost: $70 (not including pool fees)
This clinic is subsidised by DLGSC. These clinics are conducted by a lead coach and then provides an opportunity to also mentor upcoming coaches.

Please note: swimmers will need to attend all and attempt all home activities as directed by the coach. Please provide your own bathers, goggles, fins, kickboard, towel and water bottle.

Who is it for?
- Those that have completed the couch to 2km and wanting to continue their journey further OR
- For those swimmers confident swimmers that would like to improve their technique, speed and endurance.
- Beginner triathletes taking their leap into their first event.
- For those that are looking for structure in their training and development tools that they can apply in order to build confidence to tackle an ocean swim.
- All swimmers must be able to swim 200m of freestyle unassisted. You must know the basics of swimming freestyle and general swimming strokes to participate.
The sessions are limited to ensure you are learning with people with similar levels in each lane and get the tailored feedback that you need. Each week has a steady build up of skills, drills and endurance to ensure that you are comfortable with your learnings and pace.

- Kicking Mechanics
- Breathing efficiency
- Drills to improve stroke efficiency
- Negotiating and navigating the surf
- Adjusting your stroke and confidence in open water.
