Build your confidence in open water

Swimming in open water can be daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. In these open water clinics you will learn from accredited MSWA swimming coaches. It is a fantastic opportunity to learn tips and tricks from expert swimmers so you can enjoy the freedom of open water swimming.

Get to learn about being relaxed in the ocean, build your confidence in tackling the waves, and learn practical skills to help you convert your pool swimming to open water swimming to dive in with a splash.

MSWA presents the first Open Water Skills Clinic of the Summer season at South Beach, coached by Kareena Preston.

Open to any MSWA member OR community member interested in learning or improving their open water swimming skills and confidence. A minimum standard of being able to comfortably swim in deep water is a MUST! A lot of the skills that will be covered will be in shallow water, however, you will be practicing in water out of our depth. There will not be swimming excessively long distances – you will build your capacity over the weeks to get you confident.
