Country Carnival by Correspondence Results
Busselton Claims Victory in Expanded Country Carnival by Correspondence Competition.
Busselton has taken out top honours in this year’s Country Carnival by Correspondence Competition, with the results formally announced at the Council of Clubs meeting on Wednesday, 19th November. The event delivered an impressive display of talent, with athletes setting 33 individual Country Carnival by Correspondence records and seven relay records. In addition, 52 inaugural Country Club by Correspondence records were established as part of the competition’s newly expanded program.
The broader program was made possible thanks to Julie O’Connor, whose proposal to include 25m events alongside sanctioned events was adopted earlier this year. Her initiative significantly widened the competition’s reach, offering more opportunities for athletes to participate and excel.
Organisers say the success of this year’s event reflects both the increasing depth of talent across clubs and the positive impact of expanding the event lineup.
