New State Champions Announced

23/4/24

On the 20 – 21 April 2024, Masters Swimming WA clubs hit the HBF Arena for the Act Belong Commit Long Course WA State Championships. MSWA state championships is a friendly, spirited pool competition with over 250 seasoned swimmers to beginners, taking a splash and join in the camaraderie on the day.

Swimmers compete alongside others of a similar time in order to challenge themselves of PB and achieve their own personal goals. Many even broke MSWA pool records!

There were many highlights of the day including Paul Blackbeard and Stacia Kirk taking out the overall Male and Female of the heat (based upon the Highest FINA points over the two days). Their efforts together with the rest of the Claremont Swimmers, helped Claremont take out the inaugural Club award challenge.

A huge shoutout also goes to our other champion clubs of the day. Maida Vale for taking out the handicap club award (based upon participation levels), Mandurah for winning the top Country Club, plus Paul Hallum at Whitfords Club for taking out the Have a go award.

Each and every swimmer did a incredible job! For a full list of results and age group winners can be found below.

Thanks to our partners, Act Belong Commit, Healthway, all of our MSWA Clubs for joining and our volunteer officials, time keepers and marshalls and state recorder.
