Our Team


Masters Swimming WA Inc. is primarily run by volunteers, however we do have a small State Office comprising of four staff members.

 

Executive Officer

Andrew Stanbury – masters.admin@mswa.asn.au

Andrew joined Masters Swimming WA in May 2021 having worked most recently as Head of Partnerships and Philanthropy at Netball WA. He has worked in a range of leadership roles in the Not-For-Profit sector including as CEO of Tennis West, General Manager of WA Squash and CEO of a charitable organisation, EON Foundation. Andrew’s background is in Finance, having enjoyed a first career in investment management in the UK. He moved to WA from the UK permanently with his family in 2003.

     
 

Communications & Events Coordinator

Tarquin Bateman – communications@mswa.asn.au

Tarquin Bateman graduated with a Bachelor of Arts: Journalism from Curtin University in 2018. She completed a 9 month internship with Clubs WA in 2019, and has worked alongside several community clubs to improve their communications. Recently, her videography was utilised to help transform the Masters Swimming Club Coach Workshop into a Nationally Accredited online platform. Tarquin has been the Communications and Event Coordinator for Masters Swimming WA since February 2020, and has also held the position of Administration Coordinator at Triathlon Western Australia since November 2020.

     
 

Participation & Club Development Officer

Hannah Lawton – development@mswa.asn.au

Hannah has a background in sports administration, club development and event organisation. She has spent the past four years in Sport Development at Motorcycling WA and understands the importance of good governance and strategic planning. She has 19 years of experience as a volunteer and official. She was instrumental in establishing and founding the Offroad Riding club of WA, and started her sports journey in Triathlon.
