Lizzie O’Brien


Lizzie is an active member of the Masters Swimming community, participating in both open water swims and pool competitions.

Lizzie joined Perth City Swim Club in 2014. She is the Treasurer of Perth City Swim Club and has held other positions of responsibilities including club secretary and member of the social committee.

Lizzie was a member of the organising committee responsible for the successful delivery of the Masters Swimming Australia National Championships (N18) held in Perth in 2018. As Head of the Social Committee, she was responsible for delivering a set of fun, inclusive social functions. The Welcome Function, opening ceremony, evening sundowners and Presentation Dinner were well received and enjoyed by many Masters Swimming members.

Prior to moving to Perth in 2011, Lizzie held club positions with the Melbourne University Water Polo Club (social committee, president, treasurer). She also swum regularly with Yarra Roughies Masters Swim Club.

Outside of the pool, Lizzie works as an economic consultant. She has a strong background in economic and financial analysis and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Economics from the University of Western Australia.

Lizzie is passionate about making Masters Swimming a fun, inclusive and successful organisation.
